Wild ringneck pheasant hunting is what we specialize in and the South Dakota season opens the third weekend in October of each year. We hunt wild birds on native grass, food plots, CRP, waste ground, standing corn, river bottoms, and sloughs. Conservation practices have been in place at the ranch for many years and it shows. The last few years, bird numbers were the highest seen in many years. Other game birds that may be encountered on your hunt include Prairie chicken, Grouse, and Hungarian partridge.

Mornings start with breakfast, and from there you’ll go pheasant hunting. A guide will assist you. If you don’t have our limit of pheasants by noon, your guide will have a sack lunch for you to eat in the field and then continue to hunt until you’re done.

Once you’re finished hunting, you’ll head back to the lodge for the evening while your guide takes your birds to the bird cleaner where they will be cleaned, packaged and frozen for you. You are welcome to have some drinks at the bar or just relax, B.S. and have a good time.
